Isle of Skye, Scotland
Portree Angling Association, founded in 1955, controls most of the angling in the North East of the Island of Skye, including rights for the Storr Lochs, eight rivers and streams, and 21 hill lochs. The Association offers both bank and boat fishing to members and visitors, with species including brown trout, sea trout and salmon. The Isle of Skye provides spectacular scenery and some of the finest wild trout and salmon fishing in Scotland.
Visitor permits can be purchased from Carmina Gadelica Bookshop, Armadale House, Bank Street, Portree, Isle of Skye, IV51 9DA. Tel: 01478 612585. Boat hire keys are also collected and returned to the same location. All salmon must be returned. Sunday fishing reserved for members only. Fishing permits required before fishing any waters. A separate rod licence is not necessary in Scotland. Boat hire includes 2 life jackets which must be worn.
