About this water
Loch Aisir lies in wild hill country, a water of roughly 40 hectares that can be exposed to fierce winds across its open expanse. The loch sits among moorland terrain, with inlet burns feeding the north shore where the water often runs clearer and more productive.
Brown trout average ten to twelve ounces, with boat fishing bringing the best results. The most productive areas lie along the north shore, particularly near the inlet burns where trout gather to feed.
The approach follows a moorland track that winds northwest for about 1.5 kilometres, climbing gently through the hills before dropping down to reach the southeastern shore of the loch.
