About this water

This unnamed loch lies in the low ground of Highland Scotland, just over a kilometre from the coast. It is a very small water of roughly 3 hectares, shallow overall but with a moderate mean depth of around 4 metres. The shoreline is simple and rounded, with low alkalinity typical of these acidic Highland waters.

The loch sits among the coastal lowlands, where the underlying geology and proximity to the sea influence its character. At less than 300 metres across at its longest fetch, it offers intimate fishing in a sheltered setting.
