water managed by Glenbeg Fishing
Loch a Cheigein lies north-east of Glenbeg, a few kilometres in from the coast, set among open moor and low knolls. It is a very small, shallow water of around 2.5 hectares, with low alkalinity, an average depth of about 5 m and a simple, rounded shoreline.
The loch holds trout between 8 oz and 1 lb. Access is on foot from Glenbeg: the moor track trends north-east for a little over four kilometres, climbing steadily by roughly two hundred metres across open ground before reaching the loch.
