water managed by Glenbeg Fishing
Lochan a Chreachain lies above Glenbeg, set among open moorland with Loch Dubh-bheag close by. It is a very small water of roughly 6 hectares, fairly shallow at about 7 metres on average, with moderate alkalinity. The shore has a simple outline and offers just under a kilometre of bank to wander.
The loch holds trout between 8 oz and 1 lb. An excellent fishing hut stands midway between Loch Dubh-bheag and the south end of the lochan.
Access is on foot from Glenbeg. The route heads north‑east then east for a little over five kilometres, climbing steadily by about 280 metres across open ground to reach the loch.
