Loch a’ Mhinn lies inland from the coast near Glenbeg, low-lying and less than two kilometres from the sea. It is a very small, shallow loch of roughly six hectares, with moderate alkalinity and a simple, rounded shoreline.

Brown trout average about 8 oz, with the chance of an Arctic charr. Access is by a short walk from Glenbeg; the route climbs gently north‑west for just over half a kilometre, rising around 30 metres, to reach the shore.
