The Soval Estate has generously opened up access to this expansive loch, located a mere 5 miles from Stornoway. This loch boasts numerous small islands and a particularly large one. While the fishing conditions at times may be challenging, it is renowned for the high-quality trout it harbors, with 1-pound fish being quite common (averaging at 12 ounces), and anglers frequently landing fish that reach up to 3 pounds. Additionally, the loch is home to char, some of which can weigh up to a pound.
