Loch Beag na Craoibhe is an ideal loch for beginners, offering a plentiful supply of trout in the 4-6 ounce range, with occasional larger specimens. The loch features a flat and level bank perfect for teaching young and inexperienced fly-casters, as there's minimal high ground behind to disrupt their back-cast.
Trout in this area are eager to take the fly, particularly in the eastern section, which is the most productive zone. Evening fishing tends to be especially rewarding, as larger trout often move closer to the shore during this time.
