Forsinard Flyfishers’ Club, is a recently constituted, not-for-profit group whose main aim is to enhance the fishing opportunities available in the Strath Halladale area for the local community and visiting anglers.
The club has enjoyed tremendous support from the Bighouse Estate, Strath Halladale River Partnership, The RSPB, Mike Ashmole and Mick Moore & Associates who have kindly granted leases with permission to fish their lochs. This level of support from local estates/landowners has been fantastic, for which we are truly grateful, and in order to maintain these positive partnerships it is imperative that members read fully and abide to the club rules.
For novice anglers and specimen hunters alike, the quality of fishing on offer is amazing, with certain lochs producing scores of 50+ trout in a day while others have boasted fish as large as 6lb 14oz – This truly is a trout fishers’ paradise!
Membership is open to all, with initial membership fees kept as low as possible, our emphasis on encouraging juniors members demonstrated by the free joining fee for under 18s. With no further cost following seasonal membership, the 41 lochs available for members to bank fish represent amazing value and fantastic variety. Boats are available for members on 10 lochs with a minimal charge applying.
Once you have received and payed for your membership, you can book fishing on each loch through the website.
Please note that all fishing must be booked using the club website, bookings can be made once payment has been received.
Have you been to a wild water and want to share the knowledge? We'd be more than happy to recieve information from anyone who wants to write up a water guide.
