A 4×4 or vehicle with high clearance is required to negotiate the bumpy track.

The loch is a short 1km walk in an easterly direction.

Clach Geala doesn't boast a substantial fish population, and anglers should anticipate more days without catches than productive ones. However, the fish that are caught exhibit exceptional quality, reaching up to 2 pounds, and occasionally larger. Fish can be found throughout the entire loch, but it's advisable to commence fishing from a distance as they may be situated close to the shore.

Wading is deemed safe and feasible in the northern section of the loch, but elsewhere, it's preferable to stay on the bank. The southeast bank, in particular, is characterised by its wet and soft terrain, making it advisable for anglers to wear waders if they choose to fish in this area.
