Water managed by Assynt Angling Group
Loch an Alltain Duibh lies downstream from Suileag Bothy, set on low ground. It is a very small, shallow water of roughly 6 hectares, with moderate alkalinity and clear water over an average depth of about 5 metres. The shoreline turns in gentle curves with a few small bays and short points, giving a circuit of just over a kilometre.
The loch holds small brown trout that take the dry fly readily in the clear conditions. Access is on foot from Suileag Bothy, going downstream to reach the shore.
