Trolladale Water lies close to the narrow road to Gunnister, on low-lying ground near the coast. It is a very small, shallow loch of roughly three hectares, with low alkalinity and a simple, regular shoreline.
The loch produces trout up to about a pound. Access is straightforward from the road to Gunnister, which passes close to the water; a short walk brings you to the shore.
