Water managed by Shetland Anglers Association
Sandy Lochs lie close to the coast, a little over a kilometre from the sea, with the A970 skirting their western shore. These are two very small, shallow waters with plain, rounded margins set in low ground. The water is low in alkalinity and averages around 3 m in depth.
Both lochs hold mostly small trout, and weed growth becomes marked from mid-season. Access is easy from the A970 along the west side.
