Not to be confused with llyn Du Bach Y bont this is a stunning location with a crag high above the lake.
This 8-acre lake is situated above the village of Ffestiniog and is split into two parts by a wall. The smaller Llyn is very weedy in summer. It can be reached by the same route as llyn Manod, from the town follow an old tramway track about 30 minutes uphill walk.
Both lakes hold plenty of free-rising trout to around 8oz, with the odd fish to 1lb. Any method is permitted.
