Llyn Cwm Corsiog

water managed by Cambrian Angling Association

Duration: 00:59 Distance: 2.93 km Ascent: 238.5m Difficulty: 43 / 100
High alkalinity Shallow Low shoreline complexity Mid elevation Very small

Llyn Cwm-corsiog lies above Tanygrisiau, set among open upland slopes at about 520 m. It is a very small, shallow water of just over 3 hectares, with high alkalinity and a simple outline.

Any method is permitted. At its best early in the season; by mid-summer weed growth makes some areas unfishable, though a floating line and dry flies cast over the weed into clear patches continue to take fish. The trout are numerous and very free rising, and they run up to 3/4 lb.

Access is from Tanygrisiau. A footpath heads northwest, climbing steadily for just under three kilometres with around 240 metres of ascent to reach the Llyn from the east; allow about an hour and a half for the walk.
