Water managed by Cambrian Angling Association
Llynnau Gamallt lie on the western side of the Migneint between Ffestiniog and Bala, set among open hill moor. This is a pair of small moorland waters lying in shallow basins on the plateau.
Together they amount to roughly 10 hectares and are very shallow throughout. The water is peat‑stained, with low alkalinity, and the shores are broken and varied in form, with short reaches of rough margin.
Both lakes hold wild brown trout and are regarded among the best of the Cambrian Angling Association waters. Access is by an easy moor walk from the east, the route trending west for just under three‑quarters of a kilometre and climbing only a little before reaching the near shore.
