About this water

Llyn Padarn, a glacial lake located in Snowdonia, serves as an example of a moraine-dammed lake. It stretches about 2 miles (3.2 km) long, covering roughly 240 acres, and reaches a depth of 94 feet (29 m) at its deepest point, making it one of the largest natural lakes in Wales.
The resident species include brown trout, while Char (Torgoch) are typically found in the deeper waters. Perch have also been introduced to Padarn and can be quite sizable, with some caught weighing between 1.5 lb and over 2 lb recently
