A fishing club formed in 1952 with over 100 members. The club provides access to fishing on Newton and Balranald Estates along with Loch Scolpaig, offering wild brown trout and occasional sea trout fishing in scenic and unspoiled parts of Scotland.

Permits available online or through Westford Inn.
Boat hire can be arranged online.

Fishery Rules

Fly fishing only, no Sunday fishing

Boat Rules

NUAC boats are usually blue, while North Uist Estate boats are grey.
Oars, including spares and a bailing bucket, are stored beneath the boat seats and should be replaced there after use.
The boats must be secured before leaving the loch and left in the condition you would like to find them.
Any damage or issues with the boats should be reported immediately to the permit outlet or the secretary.

The Club requires all boat users to wear a flotation jacket.

All anglers are encouraged to read the NUAC Health and Safety Policy Statement printed on the back of the Declarations.
