Llyn Cwm Foel

water managed by Cambrian Angling Association

Low alkalinity Shallow Moderate shoreline complexity Mid elevation Very small

About

The dam was breached in the early 90’s for safety reasons, it has since been partly rebuilt to supply a water turbine, but not to its former level. Although not up to its past productivity, still worth a cast.

Llyn Cwm Foel is at around 1,100′, 4 acres and about 1 and a half hours walk from Tanygrisiau. It fishes well with spinner or fly for small wild brown trout.
