This has brown trout, which are also trickle stocked. Fly fishing only is permitted.
This 40 acre lake is fly fishing only and holds a good head of truly wild brown trout averaging around a pound but fish of several pounds are possible. It has also been lightly stocked with trout over the years to supplement the wild population.
The lake is limed up to four times a year and the surrounding coniferous woodland is slowly being replaced by deciduous trees. The countryside here is simply stunning and there are fewer more remote places in Wales.
Vehicle access to this remote mountain lake is excellent being able to drive right up to the parking area at the water’s edge.
Day permits are available to buy online here at The Fishing Passport website.
Have you been to a wild water and want to share the knowledge? We'd be more than happy to recieve information from anyone who wants to write up a water guide.
Or if you just fancy coming out on our next trip, you are more than welcome.
