a stunning loch

Castle loch is one of the four salmon and sea trout fisheries that is connected to the sea by the Howmore River.

A gillie is recommended on any of the lochs on the Howmore River system. Local knowledge of lies and a good hand on the oars, to keep you over the fish is essential to success.

Regular trout flies will work but have some muddlers in your box and try fishing one on the point!
